We’ve just seen the first results of the survey created by Splinter.me, regarding the best countries to work & life for a developer. So far 1160 developers from all over the world responded to this survey–pretty nice, right?
What we were very proud to see is that Romania is ranked 4th place, as being one of the best countries to work and live as a developer, after USA, Germany and UK.
Splinter.me’s team created this classification by dividing the average salaries level (based on the received responses) with the index of living costs (available to see here).
Here in Romania, salaries are big enough to have a suitable life, compared with local costs. This is something that we always take into account when hiring a new team member.
Their study showed that the average salary for Romania is close to 1,900 euros, with high variations between a junior and a senior developer. Accordingly to this study, a senior can earn up to 2.5 times more than a junior – experience is key! So it’s pretty good to live in Romania and work as a programmer (btw, we are hiring a Senior Web Developer, with extensive experience in PHP 5.x, MCV frameworks, OOP & Design Patterns -> send us your CV at [email protected]).
Let’s help this study grow even further, take the survey now!
