Innobyte, one of the leading players in the software development, mobile and e-commerce market in Romania, joins the efforts of the Hospital Emergency Fund – Magic Association and contributes to the fundraising for equipping hospitals in Romania.
In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, Innobyte is addressing to the owners of online shops developed with Magento 2 platform and encourages them to offer their customers the possibility to pay online by card by integrating the PayU online payment module, developed by Innobyte in partnership with PayU. For each module sold, Innobyte will donate 50 Euro to the Magic Association. The money raised will go towards equipping hospitals with the necessary protective materials, supplies and hospital equipment.
The extension developed by Innobyte brings to the Magento platform all the payment methods offered by PayU in Romania, including payment with the most popular installment cards. This gives merchants using Magento, the world’s most popular online commerce platform, access to a complete, versatile and 100% secure online payment solution.
“Although we are going through a global crisis, online commerce is growing significantly in most industries. We are witnessing a change in purchasing behaviour due to restricting people’s access to public spaces. While traditional retail has suffered, going online is a natural response to today’s consumer’s need to shop remotely.
At the same time, there is a growing trend towards online payments, also driven by government recommendations to use online payment methods rather than cash. To mitigate the spread of the virus, we recommend the adoption of online payments, allowing consumers the possibility the option to pay by card, to limit contact between shoppers and delivery companies.”
