Bucharest – August 30, 2021: Innobyte, a Romanian software development company specialized in eCommerce and one of the main players on this market, announces an increase of over 40% in turnover in the first half of this year, reaching over 5 million lei, and an EBITDA of 1.2 million lei, 23% higher than in the same period last year. For 2021, Innobyte estimates that it will approach the 10 million lei turnover threshold, and EBITDA will reach 2.2 million lei.
“The increase that online has registered in 2020 maintained in 2021, enabling the development of the eCommerce industry, and in the first six months we worked at full capacity. Innobyte’s growth is slightly above initial estimates, due to new projects in the portfolio and requests from current customers, and the persistent need for online store operators to find an eCommerce development partner,” said Cătălin Bordei, Managing Partner Innobyte.
In the first six months of the year, Innobyte also reported an increase in eCommerce consulting projects. Thus, the company has already completed two consulting projects, and a third will start in the fall. The eCommerce consulting services offered by Innobyte are essential in defining business requirements and technical specifications and precede a successful online project. According to company representatives, the local eCommerce market has reached a higher level of maturity in recent years, and more and more customers request consulting projects.
For the second half of 2021, Innobyte is counting on development and maintenance of eCommerce projects, audit and consulting for online stores, for Romanian and Europe customers. For the local eCommerce industry, the second half of each year since 2011 is marked by the Black Friday period and the associated challenges. For Innobyte, this period comes with extensive projects to support the activity of existing customers, new developments and optimizations.
